Plunging into the deep blue is one of the most surreal feelings you’ll ever have. It is a meditative experience. You’re weightless, there’s no gravity. You’re engulfed in the silent blue with only your breathing, bubbles, dive budd(ies) and of – the main thrill – bursts of marine wildlife keeping you company.
The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and Scuba Schools International (SSI) are recreational diving membership and diver training organisations. The courses range from entry level to relatively advanced recreational diver certification, several specialized diving skills courses, usually connected with specific equipment or conditions, some diving related informational courses and a range of recreational diving instructor certifications. The PADI/SSI Open Water Course is a certification that will last you a lifetime and will allow you to dive to 18 metres.
You can choose to go further with the PADI/SSI Advanced Open Water Course and be able to dive with specialities to 30 metres while discovering the oceans at night, navigating through wrecks in the day and finding yourself in the wildest of places underwater. Not to mention the insane marine wildlife to be seen in the waters of the Lakshadweep. Your PADI/SSI certificate allows you to dive anywhere in the world which is PADI/SSI affiliated. Why jump in a pool when 71% of the earth is covered in oceans?
There is no age limit! Anyone above the age of 10 who wants to change their perception of life is welcome!

Lakshadweep is a beautiful group of 36 islands, with only 10 being inhabited, located in the Laccadive/Arabian Sea. Famous for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, it's a fantastic place for diving. The islands have a laid-back and relaxed vibe, with a culture influenced by Kerala and the Maldives. Most locals rely on fishing and coconut farming, and seafood is a big part of their cuisine.
The people of Lakshadweep are very environmentally conscious, working hard to protect their reefs, which are home to many different marine species. To help preserve this natural beauty and avoid overcrowding, visitors need a permit to enter the islands. You can enjoy various water sports like kayaking and fishing, and explore the rich local culture through traditional dance, music, and crafts. Plus, eco-friendly tourism is a big focus here, making it a great spot for sustainable travel.
